Burhill Landscape Strategy

Burhill LVIA

Surrounded LVA Part 1 – we worked with DLP Planning who secured planning permission on appeal for the change of use from grazing land to residential and the installation of ground level solar panels at a property in East Hertfordshire. The Local Planning Authority refused the application due to the loss of agricultural land and also the perceived impact that the change of use would have on the character and appearance of the site. DLP advised the client to appeal the decision and the Inspector agreed with the case presented concluding that the proposal would not appear out of keeping with the area’s rural character, and the proposed solar arrays would have limited visual prominence. Overall, the Inspector concluded that the proposal would not have a harmful impact on the countryside.
